Moaning and criticising our own fans is what some people do.

Mainly the PROVINCIALS.

Re: First time at stadium today
Why are our own supporters criticising our support for not filling a 56k stadium?

Even if there are only 45k West Ham supporters inside that stadium I would consider that fucking good considering how shit we currently are and how shit we have been over the past 30 years.

I don't understand the mentality of constantly mentioning that we can't fill the stadium and also mocking those that do make the effort to attend and try and support the team, shit stadium or not.

Having moved from row z in upper tier season ticket to row 12 lower tier this season enjoying it more but it's only marginal improvement. The pitch is still ridiculously far back from the seats at our athletics stadium.

Re: First time at stadium today
It was nowhere near a full house. Thousands of empty seats. Newcastle were singing "your ground's too big for you". With the shower of shit we had on show yesterday they weren't wrong, we'll keep having all these no shows as long as we can't do the basics right.

It wasn't a full house crowd, Tex.

It very rarely, if ever, is a full house crowd.

Texas I was in the upper tier, row 66, I was exhausted by all the stairs, but view was excellent. I saw everything and could see who was who no problem. I go to the Camp Nou quite a bit and view and distances in 2nd tier are more or less the same.

However, I did go in your bit to have a look around and yes I would rather be there.

Re: First time at stadium today
A good day out despite the self inflicted defeat...crap defending...stupid penalty miss etc...
Came from West London on Central line to Stratford...easy but long trip...
Followed crowds to the stadium and got to the front easily enpugh...impressive stadium...world class structure...

Seat bought online the day before was in row 10 just to the left of halfway line...very good view of all the action all over the pitch.
Next time I'd prefer to be about 10 rows back for better elevated view. Ideally would be closer to the pitch but it's an athletics stadium...
Disappointing display by the team... crap defending after an early lead...
Such an easy free kick goal...and also shite defending fir their other 2...and could have had 2 more but for hitting the woodwork...
Lack of creativity in MF...and poor defending cost us...
Also lack of intensity up front except for Arnautovic...
Zabaleta...Reid...Cresswell...Obiang...Kouyate Ayew below par...Antonio not fit...
Full house crowd made some good noise...but stunned to silence for their 3 easy goals...
2 big screens but used mostly for ads...but not showing live pics of the game...
Overall enjoyed it...but wouldn't do it again unless I got a similar seat...
Definitely not in the upper tier...unless in the first few rows...
Stadium is impressive...but upper toer is a potential liability...
PS...Has a free ticket to Chelsea vs Bournemouth in midweek...much better atmosphere...views...closeness to the pitch...A proper football stadium...
Can't blame the owners for movie g in...but more improvements needed for long term viewing...atmosphere etc...
C O Y I...

Re: First time at stadium today
To be fair Side of Ham, I prioritized beer before food as I thought I could get the 2 together and it all went wrong and I did not get anything that I wanted.
I hate foreign larger shit. Is there really no proper beer in the whole OS or was I just being incompetent?

A pie would have been nice happygilmore, but I only managed the football and 3.50 pounds worth of POPCORN!

Next time I will try harder to eat before the game. Sometimes it does not go as planned.

However, you will be happy to know I had plenty of proper ale after the match and I had a lasagna when I finally got home just in time to watch match of the day. Shearer was happy, what a shitty analysis of the game they made.

Re: First time at stadium today
It was also my 1st time
The OS is a great stadium, just amazing. I had no problem with anything, distances, atmosphere. I thought it was great and no longer understand the whingers on ere.
I thought the catering was crap. I was starving as I only drank before the game watching the great Barca victory in the Goose (10% discount to Hammers members, very nice!). So a pint and a pie was my aim after cueing for a piss. Cue was not too big and was about half way when I noticed ONLY Amstel beer, what shit. I left in search of some bitter. I found an only heiniken out let, what crap not interested in crappy Dutch largers. It was getting late now and saw players coming on to pitch. I looked around only thing without to much of a cue was popcorn! So I got some popcorn!!! and missed the 1st few minutes of the 2nd half. Bit crap altogether.
Getting in and out of ground was a bit slow, it is odd better facilities / connections but more people and no real differences in problems of leaving to get the tube.
It is not upton park, but it is good, no big complaints from me.

Did you buy a portion of chips?
Only £3.20

They're just like Iceland french fries too. About 30 chips per portion.
